MANAGING DIRECTOR (Currently Filled but Accepting Resumes for Future Consideration)
The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the full-time position of Managing Director. This role requires a person who can successfully:

  1. develop and manage overall HAF strategy

  2. manage multiple projects involving multiple paid staff and volunteers

  3. communicate with various constituents including Board of Directors, members, donors, volunteers, staff, journalists, public officials, and NGO leaders about HAF

  4. travel 6-8 times per year to represent HAF at various events around the U.S. and occasionally at international forums

  5. be versatile and flexible in their role in this rapidly growing not-for-profit organization


Solid experience with a non-profit would be helpful but is not required. A legal or journalism background would be helpful.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND OUTREACH (Currently Filled but Accepting Resumes for Future Consideration)
The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the full-time position of Director of Development and Outreach. This role requires a person who can successfully:

  1. design and implement a strategy to increase HAF's membership and financial base

  2. increase general awareness about HAF to potential constituencies

  3. compile and edit information in printed and e-newsletters

  4. manage multiple projects involving multiple paid staff and volunteers

  5. communicate with various constituents including members, donors, volunteers, staff, and NGO leaders about HAF

  6. travel 4-6 times per year to represent HAF at various events around the U.S. and occasionally at international forums

  7. be versatile and flexible in their role in this rapidly growing not-for-profit organization


Solid experience with a non-profit would be helpful but is not required. A background in fundraising and membership development would be helpful.

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC POLICY
(Currently Filled but Accepting Resumes for Future Consideration)
The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the full-time position of Director of Public Policy. This role requires a person who can successfully:

  1. manage multiple projects involving multiple paid staff and volunteers

  2. communicate with various constituents including volunteers, staff, journalists, public officials, and NGO leaders about HAF's public policy work

  3. commute several times per week to Capitol Hill for advocacy work

  4. travel 3-4 times per year to represent HAF at various events around the U.S. and occasionally at international forums

  5. be versatile and flexible in their role in this rapidly growing not-for-profit organization


Solid experience with a non-profit would be helpful but is not required. A legal, advocacy or political background would be helpful.

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS (Currently Inactive but Accepting Resumes for Future Consideration)
The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the full-time position of Director of Public Relations. This role requires a person who can successfully:

  1. build relationships with the media, journalists, and other public bodies about HAF

  2. write press releases

  3. manage multiple projects involving multiple paid staff and volunteers

  4. travel 3-4 times per year to represent HAF at various events around the U.S.

  5. be versatile and flexible in their role in this rapidly growing not-for-profit organization


Solid experience with a non-profit would be helpful but is not required. A journalism or communications background would be helpful.

DIRECTOR OF INTERNET COMMUNICATION (Currently Inactive but Accepting Resumes for Future Consideration)
The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the full-time position of Director of Internet Communication. This role requires a person who can successfully:

  1. communicate HAF's work to various constituencies including members through e-newsletters and HAF's website

  2. manage web design and updates

  3. manage multiple projects involving multiple paid staff and volunteers

  4. be versatile and flexible in their role in this rapidly growing not-for-profit organization


Solid experience with a non-profit would be helpful but is not required. A background in web design, emailing, graphic design, and communications would be helpful.

 

ADMINISTRATOR (Currently Filled but Accepting Resumes for Future Consideration)

The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the full-time position of Administrator. This role requires a person who can successfully:

  1. manage payroll, accounting and reimbursement for HAF staff and volunteers

  2. do general office related work including answering phones, processing mail and e-mail, mailing packages, drafting letters, dealing with vendors, scheduling conference calls, helping organize meeting

 

Solid experience with a non-profit would be helpful but is not required. A background with a small-business or non-prifit would be helpful.
